Hold the local relationship
LEXITS will be anchored in each market by experienced technology people who are already part of it.
Now opening in Columbus
What a local coordinator does
Bring real providers in
A directory with nobody in it helps no one. The first job is density: finding the independent consultants, small IT firms and specialists who already serve your area, and getting them listed.
Confirm what is real
Confirm that a business exists, that a provider actually operates locally, and that a listing is what it claims to be. Local knowledge catches what an algorithm cannot.
Review what looks wrong
Look at flagged listings, resolve disputes over a profile, and escalate anything serious. Every decision is logged and reviewable. A coordinator does not get unlimited discretion.
Help providers get started
Help a provider describe what they actually do, in the words a business would use to look for it. Most technical people undersell themselves badly.
Who this suits
Someone who already works in technology in their area and is known in it. You do not need to be the best engineer in the market. You need to know who is real, who turns up, and who to avoid.
It is a part-time responsibility, not a job. It suits people who were going to make these introductions anyway.
Your customers stay yours
Coordinating here does not put your own business at risk. A provider who builds and holds a local relationship does not lose it because other specialists later join the work. That principle is not negotiable, and it applies to coordinators first.
